Amazing! Very beautiful work of art. When I look at it I'm struck by emotion. I totally agree with Treshie on what she says in her comment about the picture! =)

Beautiful contouring of the bodies; I love how the white outlines are only on one side, suggesting strong lighting. What really grabs me about this piece is the feeling of depth--looking at it full-view is like being plunged into a tank of water along with the protagonist! Awesome.

Featuring this on my main page. =)

:giggle: You're welcome! Watch out, if you end up in one my notorious-bizarre dreams anything can happen, and nothing is taken seriously. :lol:

Great colors... like the atmosphere... I dreamt a dream like this years ago, too, when I was a small child. Fav!

Wow...the lighting on the figures is just incredible. They look like apparitions, as if they could be made of the water itself, spectres that one could only see if they were in the right light. It's as if you have captured one of those moments, and it looks so beautiful and magical.
The fact that the figures aren't always defined makes the piece flow a lot better, much like the water itself.
The lighting on the top of the water really works as well, and I love the almost...'speckled' texture that the pastels gave to the piece.

thanks for another extensive comment. One sad thing about dry pastels: what you make is really sensitive and can be heavily smudged in an instance...

I've found that too, on the many occasions which I've attempted to use them. ;;
People have suggested fixatives and hairspray to me, but I'm always afraid to use it for fear of damaging the picture.
